Get involved

The Studio builds in the open without being open source. The reasoning, the measurements and the mistakes are all published; the repositories are not. That rules out pull requests — and leaves a surprising amount that genuinely helps.

What actually helps

  • Tell us where the writing is wrong. The Journal and Learn articles make specific technical claims — about signal processing, about CSS, about how a decision was reached. If one of them is incorrect, or right but incomplete in a way that matters, that is the most valuable thing you can send.
  • Break the accessibility. This site targets WCAG 2.1 AA and tests its contrast ratios and token usage in CI. Automated checks still miss most of what actually matters to someone using a screen reader or navigating by keyboard. A real report beats an audit.
  • Play the game. Wings & Prayers has 720 hand-checked aviation questions. If you are a pilot, an engineer or a controller and one of them is wrong, we want to know — aviation accuracy is a stated principle of that project, not a nice-to-have.
  • Ask for something you would use. JetLabs exists for questions worth two weeks of work. A good question is a real contribution, and it costs you one email.

Why the source is closed

These are WPAgency products, and keeping the source private is a settled position rather than a temporary state. It is worth saying plainly, because "building in public" is often used to imply open source and the two are different things.

What is public is the part that is usually missing: why a thing was built the way it was. Decision records, benchmark numbers taken from real runs, an honest account of what is finished and what is not, and corrections when an earlier claim turns out to be wrong. That is the material this site exists to publish.
